Abstract

Urbanization has emerged as one of the most significant drivers of environmental change, profoundly influencing wildlife populations and their behavioral adaptations. Birds, being highly sensitive to alterations in habitat structure, food availability, and human activities, serve as important indicators of ecological changes associated with urban development. This study examines the impact of urbanization on the behavioral patterns of birds, focusing on changes in feeding habits, nesting behavior, communication, migration, and social interactions. Urban environments often provide new food sources and nesting opportunities; however, they also expose birds to increased noise pollution, artificial lighting, habitat fragmentation, and human disturbances. As a result, many bird species modify their daily activities, alter their vocalizations, and develop adaptive strategies to survive in urban settings. Some species thrive and become more abundant in cities, while others experience population declines due to their inability to adjust to changing conditions. the ecological consequences of these behavioral adaptations and emphasizes the importance of conserving urban biodiversity through sustainable city planning and habitat management. Understanding how birds respond to urbanization contributes to broader knowledge of wildlife adaptation and supports the development of effective conservation strategies. The findings suggest that balancing urban growth with ecological preservation is essential for maintaining healthy bird populations and ensuring the long-term sustainability of urban ecosystems.
