Abstract

The consumer and the professional represent the cornerstone entities within the consumer relationship dynamics. Accurately defining these roles is paramount as it delineates the applicational boundaries of consumer legislation concerning individuals. Consequently, a rigorous definition of 'consumer' is imperative, especially given that we address an exception wherein consumer-specific regulations do not supplant the general legal framework regarding scope and functionality. Consumer protection laws primarily focus on safeguarding these individuals while also clarifying the responsibilities of the counterparties involved in transactions with the aggrieved party.
