The advent of Consumer Protection Act in India is a turning point in the transformation of the organizational-financial relations, where a promotion of consumers rights is juxtaposed with the responsibility of the organization towards the consumers and its financial performance. The importance of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) in the behavioural change of institutions, in financial governance and in the competitiveness of the market is critically studied in this paper which is called Protect, Perform, Prosper. The Act also provides greater consumer confidence in the redressal and transparency processes as well as in the way that organizations operate, their compliance and their ethics. The Consumer Protection Act contributes to resilience and legitimacy in financial decision making by incorporating consumer protection into the framework of financial decisions. The study highlights the importance of legislation which safeguards organisations to boost their overall performance, reduce the risk of litigation, improve trust of the brand and sustainable growth. Furthermore, it shows the flourishing side, governance towards the consumers supports inclusive development and economic stability in the long-run. The analysis, based on empirical evidence from the Indian industries, highlights the importance of the consumer protection act as both a tool to reduce labour exploitation, and as a strategic source for the businesses. The Act in the end is not a law of regulation but a law for change, a law that will result in an organizational-financial synergy, a law that will pave the way for a synergy between consumer welfare and corporate prosperity in the changing Indian economy.
